Stream The First Two Songs From Logan Lynn’s New Record Here First

Logan Lynn - We Will Overcome (2014)

In advance of a highly publicized festival showcase in Austin, Texas alongside Austra, Trust, Big Freedia and Mykki Blanco at Stargayzer Festival on Sunday, September 14th, Portland indie pop musician (and Dandy Warhols protégé) Logan Lynn is releasing the first two songs from his upcoming new record next week on 9.9.2014.  The full album is slated for release in 2015.

A departure from the electronic sound Lynn has built his career around, “We Will Overcome” finds Logan Lynn and his band in a more organic space, pulling on influences that range from Ziggy Stardust-era Bowie to Fun and Elliott Smith.

Lynn debuted this new sound last year when he released a critically-acclaimed cover of Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop”, which New York Magazine called “Dreamy” and “Guitar-heavy” and The Huffington Post described as “warm” and “bolder than the original”.  Since the release of “We Can’t Stop”

Logan Lynn’s YouTube channel has passed 3 million views.

Produced by Lynn’s longtime collaborator Gino Mari, the two-song “We Will Overcome” single is Logan Lynn’s first original work since 2012’s full-length “Tramp Stamps and Birthmarks”, and is a glimpse into what’s en route when his new album is released next year.  A music video for “We Will Overcome” is also in the works for a September release.
