Logan Lynn and Gino Mari at The Country Club Studios (2015)

I have always been lucky to have tons of talented, awesome people out there who listen to my music. This is not lost on me for a second…and I especially love it when those people do cool things with my songs in return.

This video for “Break Me Down” was made by an artist named Dandy Jon and I dig it!

Watch it here:

Logan Lynn: Strained Intimacy and Fiery Stank: Austin ‘Drag Terrorist’ Christeene Releases New Single and Video (NSFW)

CHRISTEENE and Logan Lynn (2015) Huffington Post

(Originally Published on The Huffington Post on 3/2/2015)

My undying love for Austin’s drag-punk-terror powerhouse Christeene is no secret. It takes a lot to shock me, but every time I find myself in the presence of this magical creature, she manages to take me there (and, more often than not, way beyond there).

This past year she also won the heart of Boy George, who, after watching her tear up the stage across the pond, tweeted, “What a fucking awesome hip hop, Beyonce, Evil Dead, queercore, unapologetic, sick show…KILL FOR A TICKET!”

The brainchild of performance artist and musician Paul Soileau, Christeene Vale is a self-described “human pissoire of raw unabashed sexuality; a gender-blending, booty-pounding, perversion of punk fully equipped with an arsenal of ferocious music intertwined with raw moments of strained intimacy and fiery stank” — which pretty well sums it up.

“Sweet Ophelia: An Interview with Musician Zella Day”

If you aren’t already listening to Zella Day, now is the moment to do yourself a favor and make things right in your world by putting on headphones and diving in. You can thank me later.

Zella’s debut self-titled EP has just been released, and she is receiving all kinds of love from critics and listeners alike — and it’s no wonder. Her EP is nothing short of magical, and in addition to being one of Spotify’s Top 10 Rising Stars to Watch, her new single, Hypnotic, just spent time as the iTunes Single of the Week.

Zella is heading out on tour this month, and I caught up with her this week to chat about her music, this whirlwind year she’s been having, and what the west coast has in store with her live performances just around the corner. If you have the chance to Read the rest of this entry »

I’ll admit, I was new to the artist Logan Lynn. I had only heard a few of his songs before I was doing research and e-mailing interview questions. I began learning new things about him throughout the process and soon found out he is not like most artists. He is also a champion in the never ending fight for equality.

Logan is willing to ask himself those hard questions and look at important topics that we should all be aware of. His efforts to build up the LGBTQ community are astounding. Logan founded the Q Center’s Qblog. As stated on the website, Qblog serves as a resource and online platform “…to broaden the positive perception of LGBTQ people.” Logan has even donated an entire year of earnings from his album I Killed Tomorrow Yesterday to benefit the Q Center in Portland, Oregon.

What started as a simple music interview turned into something inspiring—an open and honest conversation that hits on several important topics that are too often pushed under the rug and affect more than just our own community. For example, we delve into mental health issues—a topic that is riddled with Read the rest of this entry »

Oh, 2014. Good Lord.

Logan Lynn by Adrian Sotomayor 2014

This year. THIS. FUCKING. YEAR.

2014 has been all change, all joy, all sorrow, all music, all betrayal, all anger, all hopefulness, all hopelessness, all healing, all big losses, all big wins, all disillusionment, all unflinching baldness, all standing up for truth, all staring painful realities in the face, all ugly crying, all family, all missing Pomeranian soul mates, all forgiving myself, all not being touched, all disgraced mentors, all loved ones dying, all coming to grips with the inevitable loneliness of rebuilding, all calling out injustice, all having my privacy violated, all watching castles crumble, all dodging the press, all rebuilding something beautiful, all sober, all gloriously televised, all remarkably overlooked, all uncomfortably noticed, all growth, all resilience, all persistence…and now it’s ALL OVER.

Come to me, peace. Come to me, stillness. Come to me, love and please, please come to me, kindness. I’m yours.
