This week, as part of our ongoing “Keep Oregon Well” concert series to fight stigma through music, we were joined in the Kink FM Skype Live Studio by Australian indie band HUSKY! Signed to Sub Pop Records and currently on tour, the band took some time out of their busy schedules to play a few songs and help us raise awareness around issues related to mental and behavioral health!

If you haven’t already done it, you can take the #KeepOregonWell Pledge to stand UP and speak OUT against stigma now at www.KeepOregonWell.com

I caught up with HUSKY backstage and we chatted about mental health, touring and self-care before the show.

As part of our ongoing concert series with Trillium designed to raise awareness about mental health and fight stigma through rock and roll, we had the pleasure of partnering with pop musician Eric Hutchinson this week with Kink FM at the Skype Live Studio!

Eric is currently touring the world with American Idol royalty Kelly Clarkson and took a few hours out of his day before their Portland show at Moda Center to chat about mental health, play a few songs, and take some photos with his fans after they signed up for the #KeepOregonWell Pledge!

Listen to Kink FM or download the Kink App for details on how you can win tickets to one of our upcoming “Keep Oregon Well” shows!

Keep Oregon Well show with Live 955 and Flo Rida in Portland (2015)

As you already know, all summer long this year, I am partnering with bands and musicians from all over the world to raise awareness about mental and behavioral health and fight stigma right here at home through our “Keep Oregon Well” series of concerts and public advocacy events with Trillium!

This week we were thrilled to partner with pop superstar Flo Rida, international EDM phenomenon Dillon Francis, singer-songwriter Tori Kelly, young adult faves Kalin and Myles, and Katy Tiz from the UK for our #KeepOregonWell show with Live 95.5 at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Over 3,000 people attended the show, and our advocacy street team gave out tons of prizes and signed up hundreds of people for the Pledge to fight stigma. It was incredible.

Special thanks to Flo Rida in particular, for his support of our campaign efforts and for letting us hang out backstage with him before the show and be part of this special night — and a huge shout-out to our “Keep Oregon Well” street team, who braved the 103 degree heat, all in an effort to fight stigma through music!

Alpha Rev LIVE at Skype Live Studio with Logan Lynn Sheila Hamilton Kink Radio (2015)

This week, as part of our ongoing “Keep Oregon Well” music series at the Skype Live Studio, we were joined by Austin band Alpha Rev. Mental and behavioral health awareness hits close to home for Alpha Rev’s frontman and stigma-fighter extraordinaire, Casey McPherson.

Kink radio’s Sheila Hamilton and I talked with Casey backstage before the show about his own family’s story — losing his father and brother to suicide — and how he takes care of himself amidst the general wildness of touring band life.

Watch that video here:

Thank you to Casey and to Alpha Rev for lending their talents to our awareness-raising, stigma-fighting efforts! I dig your music and your care for the communities we serve at Trillium. It’s beautiful stuff.

LOOK: Keep Oregon Well with Bleachers, Charli XCX, BØRNS and The Ally Coalition (PHOTOS + VIDEO)

Logan Lynn Bleachers Crystal Ballroom

I am beyond thrilled to be partnering with Jack Antonoff and our friends at The Ally Coalition on the Bleachers / Charli XCX / BØRNS tour this summer. There are still a number of ways you can get involved with our efforts, but the big Portland stop on the “Jack and Charli Do America” tour happened last night at the Crystal Ballroom and it was glorious!

Thanks so much to Bleachers for their support and for asking us to join your Ally Coalition at the show. We had a blast — and we signed up tons of people for the “Keep Oregon Well” Pledge to fight stigma!

If you aren’t already familiar with Jack’s non-profit serving LGBTQ youth, The Ally Coalition, please check them out!  They do great work and we love that we get to work with them on this project.

Opening for Bleachers and Charli XCX on the tour is a band named BØRNS, who also performed a private #KeepOregonWell show with us earlier in the day at the Skype Live Studio.  These guys completely knocked our socks off at both performances.

Thank you, BØRNS!  We can’t get “Electric Love” out of our heads.

Watch video of that performance with BØRNS here:
