Hey friends and followers,
As someone who has struggled with addiction and other issues of mental health my whole life, I understand how hard it can be to reach out when you are feeling alone.
Please know that I am in this with you. I am here and am more than happy to help connect you to support where you are, just as others have done for me at times over the years.
It may feel like the world has stopped caring about you, but I have not. You are beautiful and loved, darlings. The email button on this page (to the right) is there for clicking. Please use it anytime. We can be survivors together.
As you all know, my wild band boys and I will be flying to Austin, Texas for Stargayzer Festival this September to perform alongside all kinds of amazing folks. This week all 3 days of headliners were announced. Here’s that scoop:
As you can see, we’re playing on Sunday the 14th, but we will be at the festival all 3 days. Get tickets and passes HERE.
This week, both the Austin Chronicle and Austin 360 covered the festival’s location change to downtown Austin (instead of a Ranch with no shade) as well as announcing said headliners. Click on the logos below to check out the articles:
I was interviewed by entertainment site Bold & Sugar this week out of Texas. We chatted about all kinds of stuff, from music and love to queer rights and what coming out is like now vs. when I did it in the mid-90s and more.
Check it out on the Bold & Sugar site HERE or read the transcript below. Read the rest of this entry »
I came across the incredible work of an artist named Ian O’Phelan earlier this week and, in turn, reached out to him to see if he would be interested in working on the artwork for our upcoming single. While we are still chatting about whether that will come to fruition, Ian surprised me with the illustration above (where I am serving some serious Delta Burke realness) and the rad portrait below.
So cool, right? I love this guy!!! Check out more of Ian O’Phelan’s work HERE.
So here I am with UK Rugby Star Ben Cohen at The Nines Hotel in Portland last year:
Ben posted this photo on his Twitter last night and I woke to literally thousands of new followers — mostly queer men who are in love with Ben (and, apparently, my beard).
As many of you already know, we have a new music video coming out June 10th, but in the meantime, an artist named Dandy Jon has created a series of drawings inspired by the old A cappella spiritual cover I released on my last record and he has turned those drawings into a video, which we just released.
Behold: “Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen”
