My Movie Star Re-Releases Coming in December

Back in 2018 when my last album was released, it was actually two records in one package. The first disc featured all of the original songs and the second was a collection of covers and remixes of those songs by other artists, including Tiffany, The Dandy Warhols, Jarryd James, and a bunch of other super talented folks.

My music distributor at the time did something dumb where all of those other people’s songs only got attributed to me when things went public-facing at stores and on streaming services and, because of that, those tracks have never been visible under any of the other artist’s names, anywhere the record appeared.

Long, incredibly expensive, annoying independent music story short: I got a record deal last year and Kill Rock Stars will be re-releasing the My Movie Star covers and remixes next month! They will FINALLY be in the right place on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Deezer, and everywhere else.

Nature is healing. 🖤

Out Magazine’s 300th Issue

“This year we all had the opportunity to give up or move forward, and most of us probably did at least a little of both. I have been surviving the pandemic through music, fashion, art, rescue doggos, and just showing up for the communities I care about and belong to. I’m grateful to still be here and feel very clear about who and how I am trying to be in this new world. My reaction to the endless suffering happening around me and across the globe this past year was to lean all the way into gay joy, any way I could. Everything I create now is rooted in this unwavering belief that we will all come back together someday, to dance and hug and kiss and fuck and eat at restaurants and go to shows and see our families and shop in stores and travel and get the mail without worrying about dying and just have fun, like we used to. I spent so many years — decades, actually — unhappy in my own life. I just absolutely refuse the darkness now.” – Logan Lynn
