From A Journal of Musical Things: (4/26/18)

Thursday timesuck: A short musical film featuring actor/comedian Jay Mohr

“Jay Mohr is best known as an actor, comedian and radio host as well as a podcaster. He’s teamed up musician Logan Lynn to create this short film called My Movie Star, which takes us through the fakery and crap that comes with being famous in Hollywood.

This project will also come with a double album this fall, which will include a collaboration with the Dandy Warhols. Give it a watch.”

Score one for the piano man.

The latest work from prolific and mercurial singer-songwriter Logan Lynn — the Portland-based writer, media personality and activist — comes in the way of “My Movie Star,” a 12 1/2-minute featurette soundtracked by three songs from Lynn’s forthcoming album. Co-produced by the songwriter’s champion, actor/comedian/radio host Jay Mohr, it tells the sweet story of an underdog lounge performer who might finally get his due. Read the rest of this entry »

Logan Lynn OH LUCIFER (2017) Cast and Crew and Puppeteers

My new video “Oh, Lucifer” is being released THIS FRIDAY, January 20th, in protest of Donald J. Trump‘s Presidential Inauguration.  It’s the only thing I can think of to do with all of this hopelessness.

We had the pleasure of working with Portland Film Works again on this blasphemous mess and I can’t wait for you to see it! In the video I get to give Fred Phelps electro-shock therapy and save a bunch of puppet queers from him, shoot Jim Jones out into space, blow up “God Hates Fags” protest signs with my lazerbeam eyeballs, and put Donald Trump in prison. So…dreams really do come true! (at least in music videos)

Listen to the track HERE now.  It’s ADIEU‘s album ender, song 15. Pick up your copy on 150 Gram Red Double Vinyl Album, CD Digipak and Digital Download HERE.

You can check out all of the behind-the scenes photos on my Facebook page HERE, but below are a few from the lot to tide you over…

My new video “Tramp Stamps and Birthmarks” premiers on 10/31/13 – Halloween! I worked with the cool kids at Hippodrome this time around to produce a truly horrifying psycho-sexual mini-film and it is going to scare the bejeezuz out of you forever. Oh god. So gnarly.

We’ll be announcing more info about the premier soon, but here are some stills to tide you over. That’s me in the middle of the woods, freezing cold in a dog cage.
