Logan Lynn’s New Video Featured on End Hits Blog Weekly Music Video Wrap-Up

Logan Lynn Radio Silent Music Video by Runn Shayo (2014)

Thanks to Ned Lannamann and the kids at The Portland Mercury’s End Hits music blog for including my new video “Radio Silent” in this week’s Video Vriday music video wrap-up. It’s only been out for 3 days and already 7,000 of you have watched it!

Check out the video online at End Hits HERE or read what they had to say just below.

From End Hits: (6/13/14)
“Just in time for Pride weekend, here’s Logan Lynn’s latest video, for his tune “Radio Silent” from Tramp Stamps and Birthmarks. Lynn (who, full disclosure, is also a Mercury contributor) shot this with filmmaker Runn Shayo over the course of a summer tour last year with fellow queer artists Big Dipper, Conquistador, and others, and the video features clips from shows across the country and snapshots from life on the road.”

The Portland Mercury Picks “Tramp Stamps and Birthmarks” for Video Vriday! Weekly Wrap-Up

Logan Lynn on Video Vriday at The Portland Mercury (2013)

Hometown love today from The Portland Mercury, who included my new video “Tramp Stamps and Birthmarks” in this week’s “Video Vriday!” weekly wrap-up! Check it out HERE or keep reading below the video:

From The Portland Mercury: (11/1/2013)

Logan Lynn released his new Halloween-y video this week; ‘Tramps Stamps and Birthmarks’ is a mysterious psychosexual clip made by Hippodrome Films. Lynn recorded the dark-tinged dance track with Spencer Lee Carroll (LackLustre), and Lynn says, “The horror of the video is meant to be a metaphor for the horrors of being trapped in our individual histories.”

“Everything You Touch Turns To Gold” Video Featured In This Week’s Portland Mercury Video Round-Up

Thank you to the End Hits blog over at The Portland Mercury for featuring my new video “Everything You Touch Turns To Gold” in this week’s video round-up!

From End Hits “Video Vriday”: 8/16/2013

“Here’s Logan Lynn and Rowan Wren in “Everything You Touch Turns to Gold.” Wren directed the video for this track, which appears on Lynn’s recent Tramp Stamps and Birthmarks album. Lynn says the mellower, more acoustic nature of this touching track—as opposed to his upbeat electro-dance pop—points the way towards his next album. The video also features the work of Portland metal sculpture artist Christopher Truax.”

Two Featured Articles by Logan Lynn in This Year’s Annual Portland Mercury Queer Guide. Check Them Out Here.

I wrote a couple of the articles in this year’s Annual Portland Mercury Queer Guide. One is called “Your Nuptials Are Illegal: Five Above-the-Law Ways to Protect Your Partnership in (and from) Oregon” and the other is called “Location Is Everything: The Best Places to Get Same-Sex Married“. Pick it up on stands tomorrow in Portland, or read the transcript(s) below…

From The Portland Mercury Queer Guide: (6/14/2012)

Location Is Everything: The Best Places to Get Same-Sex Married” (in Portland)

It could be argued that where one gets married is as important as whom one wishes to marry—particularly when it comes to same-sex weddings. Everybody has their own idea about what makes a great ceremony, but here are a few locations where you can tie the knot in town without worrying about someone kicking your ass on your big day. THE PORTLAND MERCURY PICKS LOGAN LYNN & THE GENTRY’S BLOW PONY “BASH BACK” SHOW THIS WEEKEND AS THEIR CHOICE FOR THE NUMBER ONE PARTY TO BE AT FOR PDX PRIDE!

This week’s issue of The Portland Mercury is called “Secrets of Portland’s Queer Underground” and just hit stands today. On page 19 for their 2010 Top 10 Pride Picks they picked this Saturday’s Blow Pony “Bash Back” show (which I’m performing at with The Gentry) as their number one choice and had some really nice stuff to say about me!!!

For the local folks, go pick up a copy. Our show is on pages 19, 23, 27, & 33. For the rest of you, read what they had to say below the photo of the fag in the raccoon hat.

From “The Portland Mercury“: (6/17/2010 Issue)

‘2010 TOP 10 PRIDE PICKS’

1. Blow Pony Bash Back!

This is some sick-ass shit right here. Crazy-like electro-emo music meets tranny drag performance art meets boys and bears and ladyboys and ladies in a punch-drunk heap of heaving bodies. This is, quite simply, where you need to be Saturday night of Pride weekend, and here’s why: The infamous queer crazy party Blow Pony is basically exploding a glitter bomb inside Rotture for their “Bash Back” bash and second annual indoor/outdoor queer social, headlined by that scruffy-sexy angst-pop god Logan Lynn & The Gentry. Some of the other starlets stopping by: dragfucker Kaj-Anne Pepper and dance poppers Boy Joy, with Jer Ber Jones and Artemis Chase as your ringleaders for the night. This is the Pride party to end all Pride parties.

-Stephen Marc Beaudoin, The Portland Mercury

Blow Pony “Bash Back”: Rotture, 315 SE 3rd, Sat June 19th, 9pm, $5.

IN ADDITION TO THIS…

The Portland Mercury picked me as their “Band Of The Week” this week. You can check it out online HERE or via the photo below. Pretty fun, right?
